Miles:This week: 3.10 Month: 3.10 Year: 3.10
Total Distance
8.50

Body Comp 179.6 Lbs 9.8% to 17.0% BF  I felt pretty good.  Feels like I have a very mild shin splint coming on my left foot.  Maybe I bruised it and I just don't remember.  Any way I ran at the TH on the TM at 1% incline I ran my first 6 in 44 mins then ran for a quick potty break and cam back to run 2.5 more my total time was 1:01:47.  I had to cut it short because Mikayla was receiving a principals pride award.  Hopefully I will make it up tomorrow but traveling to Boise tonight and driving all day tomorrow will not likely help.  HR was about 157/174 I still haven't gotten a chance to upload it yet I am still figuring out new computer.

Matt,

What part of the NW are you coming to?

I am driving to Boise tonight. My Brother lives there. Then to Olympia where my in-laws live. I grew up in Kent and that is where my step-mom and little sister live so I am sure I will be up that way. We also have a Lake House in Stanwood on Lake Goodwin so I will go there as well. On the way home next Friday night or so I will be in Portland area, Lake Oswego and Tualatin where my Grandma and a couple Aunt’s live and My uncle will visit from Reno. After that it is back to Utah we might stop in Boise on the way. We usually go up at Christmas and this is only the second time in 14 years we are not going up then. We tend to go up a lot in the summer to the Lake House to water ski. If I am feeling good in the summer I typically run a few races up there coming from altitude to sea level provides such a big advantage. I am hoping to run 70 miles next week if the body holds up so if you ever wanted to get together (I know it would be difficult) I love running with people and rarely get the chance. I really wanted to do the Gig Harbor or some other Turkey run but my mother in-law nixed any Thanksgiving races.

Congrats on the Baby. You ever run the races for the pies 5k in Carnation I have done that one a couple times. 2005 was my first marathon and I choose the Whidbey Island to show my Washington Heritage.

We lived at Snoqualmie pass near Alpental for almost 7 years until the kids got into Jr. High. Now we live in Snoqualmie. I did just the opposite with my first marathon, in Sept. I ran TOU in Logan and thought I was going to die from the altitude. I've not run the carnation race yet but probably will next year. Good luck on your drive! It's a long haul but at least you can shorten it by hanging out in Boise.
