Body Comp 178 lbs 16.7 to 9.7% BF going in for MRI today and figured I would work out later tonight.  Went to the Gym with the kids in the PM.  I started on the TM walking briskly I think I got to 4.6 mile pace and 8% incline relatively quickly.  Then I reduced to 1% and ran ½ mile it is still hurting but not as bad as last week time 18:38 HR 139/157.  After this I approached the elliptical again.  I spent 47:49 on it had the resistance turned to half of capacity at a 6% incline whatever that means.  I logged 7 miles and the HR was 171/183.  So if nothing else I am really getting My HR flying and the weird thing is it still seems relatively easy.  Maybe it is because it use Cardio which seems easy but it doesn’t exhaust because there is no impact.  I am hoping for some help here on the weight loss.  Afterwards Suzanne and I took of quick to make the kids dinner.  It ended up being a late night and a long day with the MRI, Erica’s funeral, and the gym.

When am I going to see the Body Comp 171 lbs 13 to 6%? Dropping a few lbs. of fat without lossing muscle may help that Boston Marathon time. You would've also beat me at St. George, so on second thought maybe you shouldn't drop those lbs.

I think the question would be when would I have seen it. June 27 2005 according to my excel spreadsheet I was 170 Lbs 14.3 to 7.2% BF that was a PM workout. A few days later I hit 167 but the BF was a little higher in the AM.

I would hope to return to that but we will see. It seems like the more I run the harder it gets and right now with out as much running it seems easier to loose more. I guess I don't feel as much of a sense of exhaustion and the desire to eat like a pig. I 'll cross my fingers anyway. How are you doing Terry? I read your post earlier today and I keep wondering if lower mileage is a better route for me. I like cross training better anyway and I feel stronger and more energized. I know my wife likes it better.

Matt - sad to hear about that little girls mom.

Sounds like you're not running if you're going in for an MRI? I was going to do your 10 mile loop tomorrow.

Cam,

I haven't had a lot of luck lately, but I am hoping things are going to change. You have been doing pretty well though. What's up next on your calendar?

I signed up for the Antelope Island Buffalo Run 50 miler in March - that's why I want to start doing your 10 mile loop more regularly so it is more of my base. How did the MRI go?

Cam,

I guess you can read my last post but the news isn't good, of course it could be worse. I have a stress fracture (oblique vertical) in my hip (left sacral ala) swelling surronding it and around my inferior left ilium. That is the hip part. The sports med Doc still hasn't called me back but I had the Chiro get the report. He will most likely say no running until the end of Feb and may limit some other things. Good news is I feel really strong when I am not running.
